Ever since I read the book, “Circe” by Madeline Miller, I’ve been so inspired by her power.. She is an incredibly interesting Greek God, her magic abilities, albeit simple in comparison, hold what seem to be the most power over all the other Gods. Every spell she casts is organic and made from the earth, and her mighty vengeance is awe inspiring, turning family into monsters and men into pigs, she is something to behold. Renounced as unimportant in the God world and banished to an abandoned marble home on a remote island, she is known as a temptress whore with no respectable Godly power, but she is an incredible spirit and a truly fascinating ancient icon for women. Her story has become so modern, speaking against slut shaming and women blaming! Reading the book I drew so much power from Circe, I imagined her living in this modern world. I shot the collection in an abandoned pool house out in Bel Air, and I swear I could feel Circe all around us. I hope you will find this collection inspiring, and when you wear these colorful, dreamy clothes around your city it might help you find your own inner magic.
